Why aren't you the cheapest quote I'll get?
Because the cheapest quote is usually the most expensive one. It just collects the difference in change orders. Our number includes the things lowball bids leave out, and it holds for the agreed scope. Any change you ask for is priced in writing before we proceed.
How fixed is the fixed price, really?
The agreed scope and price are documented in writing. Requested scope changes are also documented and priced before work proceeds.
