About us

The people behind the promise.

Horizon is an owner-run design-build company: one team that designs your remodel, prices it honestly, and builds it. These are the people who'll be in your home, starting with the one whose name is on the contract.

Meet the owner
The owner

A builder who thinks like an investor.

Most remodelers come up through the trades. Uri Yochelman came to remodeling from real estate, where he works as a Keller Williams professional and invests in residential property himself. He's spent his career on the question most contractors never ask: what makes a home actually worth more.

That background changes how your project gets planned. Every plan is drawn with one eye on how you live in the space and the other on what it does for your home's value: which finishes hold up, which layouts pay back, and where the budget earns its keep instead of just looking expensive.

The crew does the building. Uri stays accountable for the promise: the number, the date, and the finish.

The crew

A crew that builds.

The people you'll actually meet — from the first design session to the final walkthrough.

Why Horizon exists

Built to take the gamble out of remodeling.

The quote that doubled halfway through. The three-week bathroom that took three months. The crew that vanished with the kitchen in pieces. Everyone in Colorado Springs knows one of those stories. Horizon was built so that story is never yours. Three promises, in writing, on every job:

One locked number

The quote you sign is the invoice you pay. The number moves only if you change the scope, in writing, with your signature.

A date in writing

A finish date before we start, with the weeks mapped phase by phase, so you always know how long your home is a job site.

An owner who answers

One name on the contract, the same name on the phone. When something needs a decision, you talk to the person who can make it.

What neighbors say
